Home prices in SLO County look more stable than nation

The median home price in San Luis Obispo County has not yet shown evidence of a double dip and actually rose in April, year over year.

The median price came in at $357,500, up slightly from $355,000 during the same month last year, according to the real estate tracking firm DataQuick.
It was also up 3.5 percent from March 2011, when it was $345,000.

The price has been relatively stable locally over the past year, moving in a range from $318,500 to $400,000 and following clear seasonal trends — higher prices in the summer, lower in the winter.
