Laguna Lake in San Luis Obispo
Laguna Lake in San Luis Obispo
Laguna Lake in San Luis Obispo can be windy, but how many towns or cities for that matter have their own lake. This is located in San Luis Obispo, CA. Midway between L.A. and San Francisco. Noted for the happiest place in the world. Not bad for a small town under 50,000 people
What makes Laguna Lake in San Luis Obispo so special is that it has open space and wild life galore. So much of the wild life is seasonal. The Canadian geese just had their visit and has now just left us. Amazing in that they always travel in flocks and communicate with each other before and after take off. First one honking, and the others following in unison. The swallows always are fun to watch, but never stay long on their visit.
Laguna Lake in San Luis Obispo has a frisbee golf course that runs along the water edge at times. This is a great place to go for the Cal Poly and Cuesta college students.
For dog lovers at Laguna Lake, there is a designated area for people to gather to have their dogs off their leash and let them run with the other dogs. The dog people are diligent in cleaning up after their dogs and keeping the area clean. There is a Doxie Day the first Sunday of every month at 1p.m. for those inclined ath Laguna Lake in San Luis Obispo.
