Help for underwater jumbo loans in San Luis Obispo A new program allows help for those home owners that wish to stay in their homes with underwater jumbo loans by lowering their payments to a loan 80% of the current market value of their home. There are two programs. The first is for home owners that are current and have good credit. The second is for those that have missed some payments but have the ability to repair their credit in 6 months to a year (not headed towards or in bankruptcy). Both programs only work with jumbo loans (a second mortgage/lien can exist but it must be the same lender as the first). You must want to stay in your home and the deed remains in your name for the entire process. This program works for all jumbo loans (this includes rentals and commercial properties).
